Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay in Oudtshoorn, I experienced a unique blend of traditional and modern elements that characterize the region. The accommodations were comfortable and spacious, offering a restful environment after a day of exploring. I appreciated the proximity to notable landmarks, such as the St Jude's Anglican Church and the CP Nel Museum, which reflect the town's rich history tied to the ostrich feather industry dating back to the 1860s. One highlight of the trip was visiting the Cango Caves. The lovely formations inside were impressive, and the knowledgeable guides offered fascinating insights into its geology. While my stay was enjoyable, I noted that some aspects could benefit from improvement; for example, better security measures would enhance the guests' peace of mind, especially during evenings. Oudtshoorn presents an intriguing mix of history and modern living, making it a worthwhile destination. If you’re looking for a place that facilitates exploration of the Klein Karoo and its culture, this area certainly holds promise for your next getaway.
